Information we collect

How usage statistics are sent

The page sends statistics to /api/visit on our own domain. That function forwards them to an analytics provider (EU), which stores them inside the European Union and uses your IP address to estimate country and city. A random visit ID lives in your tab's session storage to group the pages of one visit and is removed when the tab closes, so visits are not linked over time. We do not use cookies for statistics. If you are in the European Union, nothing is counted until you choose "Allow".

The link to acne.today

Buttons like "Start my analysis" pass through jawlineacne.org/face-scan before opening acne.today, a separate paid service. The link shows acne.today that you arrived from this site and which button you clicked. Your photo, answers and any payment on acne.today fall under acne.today's privacy policy.

Retention and recipients

Technical logs are kept for up to 90 days. Messages are kept as long as needed to deal with them, at most two years. Data is shared only with the analytics provider and the hosting provider, and only as much as they need. We do not sell personal data.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data and to object to its use. Send requests to privacy@jawlineacne.org; we answer within four weeks. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the supervisory authority where you live.

Changes

A new version of this policy gets a new date at the top.
